Epidermis
This is the outer layer of skin, we show the world and offers more. This layer in turn consists of other sub-layer of cells called keratinocytes most of them. These cells are moved and eventually reach the outer layer forming a protective barrier.
Dermis
This layer is the operations control of the skin. Here are blood vessels, sudorific glands, sebaceous glands, nerve terminals and collagen and elastin. The dermis nourishes the epidermis. Here begins pimples and redness due to the disruption of traffic as when you blush.

Hypodermis
Is the subcutaneous layer of skin, the more profound. Has mostly fat and contains blood vessels and nerve endings. It also has collagen and elastin that are connected to the dermis.
It is important to maintain the level of fat in this layer so that our skin is uniform and firm. We tend to lose fat and collagen to the passage of time.
Collagen
Collagen is a substance that gives firmness and youthful appearance to the skin. As time goes on we lose collagen, and thus our skin becomes more flaccid and form of expression lines and wrinkles. There is no evidence that the collagen in creams to be absorbed into the skin, or ingesting the cree mas collagen.
